| At work the other day, my coworker was telling us how he and his wife were bummed out because their kid didn't make it into the gifted program in elementary school. There were three other kids in the class who got into the program, and they made fun of everyone else, calling them stupid among other names. Kids can be so cruel! Then my other coworker chimed in, offering a word of encouragement, saying that it's okay because when he gets older, he can beat the crap out of those kids and call them geeks! Then he looked at me and said, "No offense, Eric."

What a great weekend! The RCCC College & Career retreat was a lot of fun, and God spoke to me in some really cool ways. It's the first retreat I've been to in almost three years, and I really didn't have any expectations except to have fun and share in fellowship with people. God had much more in store. I think the best part was coming together and praying with brothers and sisters in Christ that I don't see very often. I can't remember the last time prayer brought me to tears, but I think God gave me a glimpse of his heart and his love for the church, and his desire for us to be conformed more and more into the image of his son. What place in your life does prayer have? If it were a crime to pray, would there be enough evidence in your life to convict you?

| Today I was sitting in a meeting at work, and I received a phone call from my BFF. Unfortunately, I was unable to answer the call. This was the voicemail i received:
